Honorary Assistant Professor, University of Nottingham

Ian is also Associate Minister of St Nic's, Nottingham and Managing Editor of Grove Books Ltd, as well as the author of an influential and award-winning blog (see www.psephizo.com).

He studied Maths at Oxford and Southampton before working in industrial business (in manufacturing and personnel) before training for ordination at St John's Nottingham. After achieving a first class degree in Theology at Nottingham, he completed a PhD on interpreting the metaphorical language in Revelation. Following ten years in parish ministry in Dorset, he returned to Nottingham as Dean of Studies and lecturer in New Testament at St John's, also for ten years.

He is now a writer, speaker, editor and academic consultant as well as continuing to minister in local churches.
